May DCM Recap Only four clubs were represented at the last DCM; just because the school days
that are left are dwindling doesn't mean DCM attendance should be also! Make plans ahead this time! The next DCM will be at the
Rancho Bernardo Libary on Sunday, June 22, from 2:00-3:30 p.m. I strongly encourage that your Key Clubs stay active during the
summer, as Region 17 (our region consisting of divisions 11, 21, 31, 37 North, and 37 South) will be planning events for the
entire region. Guests attending the DCM included both Regional Advisor Trina Krider and Regional Advisor Assistant Bryan Lam. The
Paradise Division Lieutenant Governor for Circle K (the college level Kiwanis family organization) Hanan Jammal attended, as well.
Governor's Official Visit Yesterday (May 30th) marked the official visit of Kiwanis Governor Mark MacDonald to the
Division 37 Kiwanis Clubs. Among the sponsored youth that attended were Key Club LTG Anne Sullivan (Division 37 North), Poway KIWIN'S
President Katie Wolf, Rancho Bernardo Key Club Vice President Karan Singh, myself, and KIWIN'S Governor Vanessa Porter. Governor
MacDonald gave a powerful speech about the true meaning of a Kiwanian, and many awards were presented to Kiwanians recognized throughout
the division. Pictures are posted on the Yahoo! Groups site under "links."
Key Club OTC The turnout for the OTC for the Key Clubs of Escondido, Orange Glen, San Pasqual, and Valley High Schools
was great. The Kiwanis Clubs of Escondido and Hidden Valley did an absolutely wonderful job of preparing an extremely useful program
that will get the officers off to an extraordinary start. Workshops included that for each of the officer positions, planning projects,
planning successfully and in advance, etc. This opportunity for these Key Club officers is a wonderful gift and the binders that the
club officers received will serve to help them often throughout the next year. Many thanks to the Kiwanis Clubs of Escondido and
Hidden Valley.
Miracle Mile of Quarters Tomorrow morning...begin the quarter art! The pancake breakfast starts at 8:30 a.m. and the event
officially begins at 9:00 a.m. and schools will gather to compete in creating designs/art with quarters that either they have brought
for the cause themselves or that their sponsoring Kiwanis has so generously donated. After the judging, the quarters will all be counted
and donated. The judging begins at 1:00 p.m. Hope to see all of the Key Clubs out there! Almost every Kiwanis family organization will
be represented!

May DCM Wow, has it been a while or what? APs and SATs are finally nearing an end, aren't
they? Hopefully stress levels are coming down and we're getting ready to do some service! The May DCM is coming up soon and
it's important that as many of the clubs as possible attend! I'm glad that a lot of clubs are still in action, even though
the close of the school year is approaching. The May DCM will be on May 29, 2003 (Thursday) from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Souplantation
in Rancho Bernardo. The address is 17210 Bernardo Center Dr. so you can find directions at
Mapquest or Yahoo! Maps. I hope to see all of the officers there!
Miracle Mile of Quarters The Kiwanis of Division 100 (Region 17 Key Clubs) all work together in a combined effort to do
an awesome job at the Miracle Mile of Quarters each year. This year on June 1st, all of the Kiwanis family member groups from the
region will be gathering together on the afternoon of May 31st to help set up the event, and all day June 1st to work on the actual
quarter art. The whole region is participating so let's make sure Division 37 South is REPRESENTING! See you all soon!
Key Club OTC The Key Clubs of Escondido, Orange Glen, San Pasqual, and Valley High Schools have independantly set up a
date for an Officer's Training Conference that will be held on Saturday, May 31 at the Police Station auditorium in Escondido.
I'm glad they've gone ahead and started to jump onto the chances of working ahead to be prepared for next year! Hopefully everything
will run smoothly! More division updates coming soon!

April DCM So much to say, and so little free time find in order to say it! Well, as some of
you know, the Division 37 South April DCM took place on April 22 at the Pat & Oscar's Carmel Valley from about 6-7:30. Unfortunately,
only four clubs were lucky enough to travel the tremendous distance to the southwest corner of our division. Don't worry! Future
DCMs will be more accessible! Online editions of the April Bull Sheet are avaliable at the Division 37 South Yahoo! Groups Files
[links] or if it's too hard to access, e-mail me and I can e-mail you the .pdf file. Thanks to those that attended!
Division 37 South Banquet I was so psyched to see all of the clubs that attended the banquet yesterday, April 23, at the
Carmel Mountain Ranch Recreation Center. The awards that were given out were amazing and well deserved; I'm so proud of our division!
Congratulations to all who received awards! Yay for the Kiwanians and Key Clubbers who attended!
Westview Induction Ceremony Today marked the day of Westview's official charter and induction ceremony. Westview is now officially
chartered to Division 37 South! I'm so glad that their achievements this past year have brought them so far; they will continue
to be a great asset to our division. Pictures from the event can be accessed at the Yahoo! Group as well. Go Westview!

Division Positions Congratulations to the newly appointed Division board:
Executive Assistant Michael Zhang, Torrey Pines
Division Secretary Kate Feng, Mt. Carmel
I look forward to a tremendously successful year with the new board! Duties are outlined under the info tab above.
Kiwanis DCM Today marked the Division 37 Kiwanis DCM at the Joslyn Senior Center in Escondido, and I was incredibly surprised
to find four Key Clubbers from Escondido High School and two Key Clubbers from Orange Glen High School, a club that has been newly
chartered by the Kiwanis Club of Escondido. Kudos to these two great schools for going out and representing sponsored youth in
our division!
April DCM The Division 37 South Key Club DCM will be held on Tuesday, April 22nd, from 6:00-7:30 at Pat & Oscar's in
Carmel Valley. Hopefully, we can up attendance and get more than seven clubs to come out and represent! I look forward to seeing
you there; I will be notifying club officers of this DCM shortly.

District Project This year's District Project (DP) is "B.U.I.L.D. a Better Tomorrow." The acronym
is represented by the following district goals:
Beautify the Earth
Uplift the Lives of the Less Fortunate
Interact with the Elderly
Lend a Hand to the Disabled
Devote Time to Youth
Division 37 South's first DP for the '03-'04 year will be "lending a hand to the disabled" at the Special Olympics at SDSU either Saturday,
May 31 or Sunday, June 1. More info will be released in the near future. Let's up the ante for Division 37 South and increaseour DP
participation this year!
March MRF Thanks to the schools who sent me their MRF for the month of March. Fortunately, this month, they aren't due!
Still, division points go out to those clubs that did send in their form. However, what I DO need from club secretaries are
the Online MRF Consent forms! Those are available at the Yahoo! Groups (see links) and should be downloaded, filled out, and mailed
to me IMMEDIATELY! This will offer a great convenience for club secretaries; they will be able to simply e-mail their forms to me
instead of wasting paper, ink, and postage! So secretaries, get those forms and send 'em in!
Applications! Remember, everyone! Applications for division positions are due by midnight of Friday night, April 11th! Hopefully,
I will be seeing more qualified and competent Key Clubbers applying for Executive Assistant or Division Secretary!

The Bull Sheet Hi everyone! I was looking through my newsletter and realized as I was reading
through that at the DCM on Friday, I didn't give out the answers to the trivia questions (page 3)! But you should know them anyways...but
you can check it here:
1. S-A-C-R-A-M-E-N-T-O
2. Trung Tran
3. Trina Krider; helps all of the LtGs of Region 17 to perform their duties fully (transportation, advice, support, etc.)
4. 11 Key Clubs + 19 Kiwanis Clubs = 30
5. Bryan Lam, current Regional Advisor Assistant
6. Dennis Chon
Website Update Sorry to EVERYONE who has been diligently filling out forms, either for officer submissions or applications
for divisional office, because since March 19, I have not been receiving ANY of the CGI submissions. I managed to fix it today, so
if any of the officers have filled out information through the forms on the site after March 19, you need to do it again! I'm
terribly sorry, especially for those of you who have applied for division office! Please forgive me for my ineptitude!

Hey everyone! Hope you like the new format of the site! I'm still in need of division officers
so please apply! Applications due by Friday, April 11!
Total K Day I hope everyone in the division participated in Total K Day yesterday!
For club presidents: if your club participated, please send me:
1. The location and duration of the event.
2. The number of people involved (including advisors, officers, members, etc.
3. A brief 2-3 sentence description of the event, including turnout and achievements.
Please e-mail this information to ltg37south@san.rr.com.
With this information, I will not only be able to give you credit in the Bull Sheet, but your clubs will earn division points!
Yahoo! Groups A Yahoo! Groups has been created for all of the officers in Division 37 South. This group will be used for
officer communication; simply send an e-mail to
div37south@yahoogroups.com and all of the officers in the division should receive
it. Do NOT abuse this tool; all e-mails sent through Yahoo! Groups should be Key Club related and should be relevant to every
club of the division. Division files are also stored in Yahoo! Groups including the Online MRF Consent Form (which I want club
secretaries to take care of ASAP), my introductory letter (for all club officers to become acquainted with their Lieutenant Governor),
and the .pdf form of my March newsletter, the Bull Sheet. More files will be added consistently, and these resources should be taken
advantage of by the officers. I still need more officer's information, so PLEASE ALL OFFICERS who have yet to give my their
information, e-mail your name, position, street address, phone number(s), and e-mail to me ASAP!
DCM Recap A total of 29 individuals attended the first '03-'04 DCM for March. A total of seven out of the 11 schools in
Division 37 South were represented. Students and/or advisors from Escondido, Mt. Carmel, Poway, Rancho Bernardo, San Pasqual,
Torrey Pines, and Westview attended. Pictures from the event are posted at the Yahoo! Groups photo album for clubs to view or use.
The first issue of this year's Bull Sheet was revealed, and can also be downloaded in .pdf form at the Yahoo! Groups files.
Next month's DCM will be held on Tuesday, April 22nd, so please keep your afternoon and evening free; the DCM will probably
be a dinner of some sort. Thanks and props go out to those of you that attended! Go Division 37 South!
